Types of printed circuit board
With the rapid development of 3C products and the electronicization of traditional home appliances, the application range of printed circuit boards is becoming more and more extensive. Printed circuit board is generally referred to as PCB. It is the basic component in the electronics industry. It can be used in 3C products such as electronic watches, mobile phones, computers, etc., even on military weapons, communication equipment, and space shuttle. Traces to the PCB.
PCB was first adopted by the Austrian Paul Eisler in the radio in 1936. He replaced the traditional way of connecting electronic components with wires by printed circuit boards. Later, in 1943, the technology was applied to military radios by the United States. As technology matured, the invention was officially popularized in commercial use in 1948. After the development of a Jiazi, it finally laid the important position of PCB in the electronics industry.
At present, there are two main ways to classify PCBs: one is based on the number of layers, and the other is classified according to its hardness. According to the number of layers, the PCB can be divided into single-panel, double-panel and multi-layer boards. Generally, the multi-layer boards are mostly 4 or 6 layers, and complex can even be up to several tens of layers.
In addition to having different layers and sides, printed circuit boards can also change inflexibility. Most customers typically consider inflexible PCBs when they are on an image board. Rigid printed circuit boards use solid rigid substrates, such as fiberglass, to keep the plates twisted. The motherboard inside the computer tower is a good example of an inflexible PCB.
Typically, the substrate in the flexible board is a flexible plastic. This basic material allows the board to be adapted to the form in which the unbent sheet cannot be rotated or moved during use without affecting the circuitry on the printed circuit board. While flexible boards are more likely to be intended and create more functionality than rigid PCBs, they have many advantages.
