Talking about the V-cut technique of the pcb circuit board and the remedy of too deep V-cut
I have talked about so much knowledge about related circuit boards. I don’t know how you know it and how much you have absorbed. As a high-precision double-sided/multilayer circuit board manufacturer, ONESEINE Circuit Board Manufacturer, now I will tell you a new knowledge Point, I hope everyone can master it!
The so-called (V-cut) is that the printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturer cuts the dividing lines in a specific position of the PCB board with a rotary cutter in advance according to the customer's drawing requirements. The purpose is to facilitate the subsequent SMT circuit board assembly. "De-panel" is used because the cut shape looks like an English (V) shape, hence the name.
Circuit board V-Cut (V-Cut) is a process that divides the semi-finished circuit board into a process that facilitates subsequent processing. The process is to divide the semi-finished product with several units on the working board, just like opening the stamp hole on the entire board into a stamp that is easy to tear off and use. Of course, the circuit board also has stamp holes, but more often it is V-cutting, which is to grind a V-shaped groove on the circuit board with the grinding wheel of a V-cutting machine. Before V-cutting, you must carefully check the slotting distance. The error must not be large. Exceeding a certain level will cause the size of a single circuit board unit to be large or small. One is that the installation of the unit is difficult. The V-groove on the edge of the positioning orifice plate is generally larger than the depth between the units, so that the components are difficult to break after welding, and they are easy to spread if they are too deep. Therefore, the V-cut depth control is a difficult point. The V-cut depth of different plates is different. different.
Generally, the production of bare circuit boards will first do the panelization and break-away operations, so when the circuit board is printed (pasted) all the parts and the assembly is completed, it is of course necessary to carry out "dividing". Only when the board is installed in the machine can the board be installed in the machine, because usually the whole product does not install more than two identical assembly boards (PCBA).
The circuit board v is cut too deep and cannot be remedied by rework or repair, but it can be started from the SMT end to make the PCB as usable as possible. Because the V-cut is too deep, the connected material is reduced, and it is easy to deform or even break the PCB board when subjected to high temperatures. At this time, you can make a mold to fix the PCB, for example, put the PCB on the wire mesh in China for reflow soldering, so that the PCB is supported and will not break. The PCB can be mounted normally, so there is no loss.
These are some basics, not too deep, if you need to understand more in detail, you are welcome to come to ONESEINE circuit board factory to understand, or you can call for consultation
